Hookmode

Privacy notice

Last updated: 20 August 2026.

This notice covers hookmode.com and the Hookmode app. It is written in plain language on purpose. Short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we use no advertising trackers, and we never sell data.

Who operates this site

Hookmode is operated by the developer of hookmode.com. There is no registered company yet. For anything in this notice, contact hello@hookmode.com.

What we collect on this site

The waitlist form collects your email address and, if you fill them in, two optional answers about what you trade with. The join request also carries the page you came from (referrer) and campaign parameters (UTM), stored next to your email so we know which channels work.

The landing site sets no cookies. It keeps the referrer and campaign parameters in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab.

When you submit the form, your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit requests and to verify the spam check. It is not stored with your entry.

What we collect in the app

If you are invited and sign in, we store your account email (via Clerk, our sign-in provider) and the trading data the product shows you: account nickname, broker server, login number, balance and equity snapshots, open positions, trades, webhook payloads and their traces.

Your broker password is not part of that list. You type it on your own PC; Windows encrypts it there and it never reaches our servers.

Who processes it

Clerk — waitlist entries, the confirmation and invitation emails, and sign-in.

Cloudflare — hosting for this site and our API, and the Turnstile spam check on the waitlist form. Turnstile is covered by Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

PlanetScale — hosts the Postgres database that stores the waitlist answers and the app’s trading data.

What we use it for

To send you the invite when a seat opens, and to run the product. Nothing else. No advertising, no profiling, no selling or renting data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept while the beta runs. Ask us to remove yours at any time and we delete it — both our row and the Clerk entry.
