Changelog

Every Hookmode release, newest first: new features, fixes and changes, in plain words.

Guided setup and updated position-limit checks

  • Follow five steps from pairing a device to your first trade

The "Finish setup" panel on Home guides you through pairing a device, adding an account, creating a strategy, creating a portfolio with a rule, and placing your first trade. Each step links to the page or dialog you need. If you cannot continue, the panel explains why, such as a paused strategy or a missing active rule. If an account needs a password, it names the account and the device where you should enter it. Setup is complete when the broker confirms your first trade. The panel then shows "Setup complete" and disappears 24 hours after that trade.

  • Add an account right after you pair a device

The "Device paired" dialog now has an "Add account" button that opens the account form with your new device selected. If you have no paired devices, "Pair device" on the Accounts page opens the pairing dialog directly. When creating a strategy, enabling a trading side also enables "Allow manual triggering", so you can send a signal manually. Existing strategies keep their saved setting.

  • Choose your MetaTrader 5 terminal from a list

When an account first needs a terminal, desktop app 1.5.1 lists the MetaTrader 5 terminals it finds on your PC. Select "Use this terminal", or browse for the file with "Choose terminal…". If a terminal has never been opened on this PC, you will be asked to open it and log in once before continuing. If the desktop app has no accounts, "Add account in the web app" opens the account form with this device selected.

  • Check for manually closed trades before rejecting a signal

When a rule reaches its max open positions, Hookmode now checks with the desktop app for trades already closed in MetaTrader 5. This can free a slot before the regular sync, allowing the next signal to proceed if the other trading checks pass. If the drawdown hard stop is on, closed trades still count when their combined stop-loss risk could use up the remaining drawdown. Trades that are opening or closing always count. If the device cannot confirm the open positions in time, no trade is sent, and the trace and Telegram explain why. This check requires desktop app 1.5.0 or later. On older versions, signals that need this check are rejected because the device cannot confirm the positions.

Public beta, trade statistics and manual trading

  • Create your Hookmode account without an invitation

Hookmode is now in public beta and free to use during the beta. Select "Get started" on hookmode.com, enter your email, choose a password and confirm your email address. You no longer need an invitation or a place on the waitlist. Old /waitlist links now open the home page. The getting-started guide, terms of use and privacy notice have been updated for public sign-up.

  • Review your trading results in the new Statistics tab

The Trades page now has "List" and "Statistics" tabs. Statistics summarises closed trades using the same filters as the list. It shows Realized P&L, trade count, volume, win rate, profit factor, Average R, average win and loss, and average holding time for winning and losing trades. "Cumulative P&L" shows a separate curve and maximum drawdown for each account currency. P&L bars group results by day, week or month in your workspace time zone. Use "Breakdown" to compare results by symbol, strategy, portfolio, account, side, day of week, hour, holding time or origin. The totals previously shown above the trades list are now in this tab.

  • Place manual trades from a rule’s trade widget

Open a portfolio’s Rules table and choose "Trade widget" from a rule’s menu. Each allowed trading side has a form for stop loss, take profit and volume, with a preview of estimated loss at the stop loss, potential profit and the risk/reward ratio. The trade button shows the side and volume, such as "Buy 0.03 lots". If the rule cannot trade, the widget shows "Trade unavailable" and explains why. "Open trades" lists the rule’s open positions with Open P&L, the current broker price and a Close button. P&L and prices refresh every minute. "Add to home screen" explains how to save the widget to your phone’s home screen. The refresh button and broker prices require desktop app 1.5.0 or later.

  • Recover missing P&L when a broker records a trade close late

Some brokers take longer to record a closing deal, which could leave a closed trade without P&L. Desktop app 1.5.0 now waits for that record after closing a trade. During regular syncs, Hookmode also checks trades closed in the last 30 days that still have no P&L and fills it in when available. If the recovered result triggers the rule’s drawdown hard stop, the rule is blocked as it would be after any other close. The original Telegram "trade closed" message still arrives without P&L in these cases.

  • Keep working when one part of a page fails to load

If a section fails to load, it now shows an error and a "Retry" button while the rest of the page stays available. This covers sections such as Home’s "P&L by portfolio", the rule form, a device’s accounts and a strategy’s signals. Previously, some failures affected the whole page or left a section looking empty. Failed background refreshes also preserve open forms and anything you have typed. If an item is deleted elsewhere, such as in another tab, its open page now explains that it was not found.

  • Review a strategy’s signals in the familiar Signals table

A strategy’s Signals tab now uses the same table as the Signals page, with plain-language results, trade links and expandable outcomes. On wide screens, the Strategies table replaces "Last signal" with the trade count, last trade time and a "View all" link to that strategy’s trades. The rule form now sorts strategies by name.

  • Update bookmarks that use old app addresses

Links starting with /app/ and old account links such as /devices/.../accounts/... no longer redirect and now show a "not found" page. If you use one of these bookmarks, open the page from the app’s navigation and save its current address, such as /accounts.

  • Follow the guides with updated screenshots

The getting-started, TradingView and webhooks guides now show the redesigned web app in both light and dark mode.

  • See balance and open-position P&L separately in the desktop app

In desktop app 1.5.0, the main balance line on an account card shows only the balance and currency. Open-position P&L remains in its own row. Account type colours now match the web app: green for Live, blue for Demo and violet for Prop firm.

Unsaved-change warnings, trade timing and calendar details

  • Get a warning before leaving a form with unsaved changes

Leaving a strategy or rule form with unsaved changes now opens a "Discard changes?" dialog. Choose "Keep editing" to return to the form or "Discard changes" to leave. Closing or reloading the tab shows your browser’s own warning. Turning a trading side or take profit on or off now also counts as an unsaved change.

  • Preview used drawdown before changing a rule’s limit

Changing a rule’s drawdown limit keeps the percentage already used and recalculates its money value. The drawdown explanations now make this clear. When you edit a rule with drawdown already used, the form shows that percentage and previews the money amount before and after your proposed change.

  • See how trade execution time is broken down

Trade opens and closes requested through Hookmode now show three timings on the trace page. "Hookmode" covers signal receipt to command dispatch. "Broker call" measures the MetaTrader 5 order call on the device. "Device & network" shows the remaining elapsed time after subtracting those two figures; it is a calculated remainder and can include other processing time. Hover over each timing for an explanation. The "+N ms" gaps and "slow" warning have been removed. When the broker closes a trade after a failed close attempt, the timing label now says "Elapsed" instead of "After".

  • Review a calendar day’s trades in one panel

Select a day in the Calendar to see a list of its trades. Each trade shows the symbol, side, volume, status, P&L and a Trace link, followed by prices, times, stop loss, risk, take profit, potential profit, and its strategy, portfolio and account. The panel is wider on large screens. Today’s date is now shown in bold without a surrounding circle.

  • See each strategy’s activity over the last 30 days

The Strategies list now includes a small chart of each strategy’s trades and rejected signals over the last 30 days. Hover for details, and use the key above the list to identify buy, sell and rejected markers. Cards show Realized P&L, Open P&L, the last signal, a "View all" link to signals and the trade count. The list switches between cards and a table to fit the available space.

  • Copy alert JSON in the Raw format

In a strategy’s Connect dialog, the "Raw" format now shows the JSON for your selected alert, such as opening or closing a buy trade, with a copy button. The strategy ID and signature remain below it. Switching formats keeps your selected alert.

  • Understand account warnings, trade limits and filter ranges

The Accounts page’s "Needs attention" count now includes active accounts whose combined rule drawdown limits exceed their balance, matching the warning already shown for those accounts. In the manual trade dialog, a rule at its position limit shows "Not sent - position limit reached (1 of 1 open)" instead of a volume. If a Volume or P&L filter’s minimum is higher than its maximum, a hint explains which range is applied. The Connect Telegram dialog now identifies the Hookmode bot by its Telegram username.

Refresh accounts on demand

  • Refresh a trading account from its page

Select "Refresh from the device" next to the account’s "Updated" time to request fresh account data without waiting for the five-minute sync. Once the refresh completes, the updated data appears wherever the account is shown. The button is disabled while the device is offline. Requires desktop app 1.4.1 or later.

  • See when a trade that never opened was requested

Trades that never opened now show their request time, such as "Requested 10:16", instead of "Not opened". The Opened date filter also uses that request time, so these trades appear in the matching date range.

  • See where to paste each part of a Pine Script alert

The Pine Script format in the Connect dialog now explains both steps: add the supplied lines to your script as the alert_message for each order, then enter {{strategy.order.alert_message}} in your TradingView alert’s Message field. For an indicator alert, paste only the JSON into Message.

  • Set range filters reliably and reach controls on smaller screens

Entering a minimum and maximum quickly in a Volume or P&L filter now keeps both values. Filter panels, including the date picker, fit shorter screens and scroll so that "Clear" stays within reach. In the rule form’s trading hours, symbols that trade throughout the week are labelled "Open all week".

Redesigned pages across the web app

  • Find accounts and devices together on the Accounts page

The sidebar now has one "Accounts" destination with separate "Accounts" and "Devices" tabs. Above the accounts table, a summary shows balance, Open P&L and accounts needing attention. The table lists each account’s balance, All-time P&L and remaining drawdown. A single "Status" filter replaces the state and setup filters, with Active, Paused, Waiting for password and Archived options. Account pages now have a "Pause" or "Resume" button, and device pages show how long each device has been online.

  • Read consistent risk and drawdown labels across the app

The app and website guides now use consistent terms: "Risk factor", "Drawdown limit", "used" and "left". Drawdown levels read "Within limit", "Half of the limit used", "Most of the limit used" and "Near limit". Rules are named using their strategy and account, and the rules table shows Rule, Drawdown, Risk factor, Account, Session guard and Status. Telegram daily loss alerts now say "Daily loss used" instead of "Budget used today".

  • Create a rule step by step

The rule form now guides you through "Signal source", "Execution" and "Size and limits", revealing each section as you progress. "Trade on an account" from a strategy page and "Trade a strategy" from an account page open the form with that strategy or account already selected.

  • Connect a strategy from one dialog

Select "Connect" on a strategy page or from its menu in the Strategies list to find the webhook URL and alert message in one dialog. This dialog also opens automatically after you create a strategy. Strategy pages now show Realized P&L, Open P&L, Trades and Drawdown, with a "Needs attention" panel when action is needed.

  • Understand each signal’s result at a glance

The Signals table now shows Received, Strategy, Signal and Result. Results use plain language, such as "Opened 2 trades", "Blocked by the session guard" or "Rejected - the strategy is paused", with links to any trades opened. Select "Outcomes" to see the events for each trade.

  • Find trades, calendar days and trace details faster

The Trades table now uses one time column in your time zone and links to each trade’s strategy, portfolio and account. It switches to cards on smaller screens. Calendar days open their trades in a side panel, or a panel at the bottom of the screen on phones. Trace pages start with a one-line trade summary and group IDs in a "Copy ID" menu. Notifications now have a "Type" filter, are grouped by day and mark unread items with a dot.

  • Copy the script behind your best result in the Chrome extension

Chrome extension 1.2.1 adds a copy button to "Session best" in the "Current" tab when a script was saved with that result. The script remains available even after the result leaves the history list.

Consistent filters, clearer P&L and immediate drawdown blocks

  • Filter every list the same way

Trades, Signals, Calendar, Strategies and Accounts now use a consistent filter bar with search, main filters, "More filters", "Clear all", a result count and sorting. Active filters appear as blue labels showing their values. The date picker includes presets such as "Last 7 days" and "This month", plus a choice of open or close time. On phones, filters open in a panel at the bottom of the screen.

  • Read strategy P&L separately for each currency

Strategy results now show "Realized P&L" on a separate line for each account currency. Previously, "Total P&L" combined different currencies. Open trades consistently use the label "Open P&L". Today’s and this week’s figures show the time zone used for their start time, such as "realized since 00:00 EEST". The rule form also explains when volume is rounded down to the broker’s lot step, and the portfolio plan chart includes each rule from the day it was added.

  • See when rule drawdown limits exceed an account’s balance

If an account’s active rules have combined drawdown limits greater than its balance, "The drawdown limit is larger than the balance" appears on the account page, in the Accounts list and on the device card. The rule form also warns you about this.

  • Check open trades before removing devices or changing portfolios

You cannot remove a device while its accounts have open positions; the removal dialog lists the affected accounts. Strategies with open or pending trades cannot be deleted until those trades close or fail. Before you pause, archive or delete a portfolio with open trades managed by a session guard, a warning explains that the guard will not close those trades while the portfolio is paused or archived.

  • Block a rule at its drawdown limit without waiting for another signal

With the drawdown hard stop enabled, a rule is now blocked as soon as a closing trade reaches its drawdown limit. Enabling the hard stop on a rule already at its limit also blocks it immediately. Previously, the block waited for the next signal. The closed trade’s trace shows "Rule blocked", Home records it in recent activity, and a "Drawdown blocked" notification appears in Telegram and the app. This update also blocked rules already at their hard-stop limit, without sending a Telegram message for those existing breaches.

  • See which devices are online from any page

The header now shows "Online", "Offline" or the number of offline devices. Hover over it to see each device’s status. Sidebar pages are grouped under "Trading" and "Setup", and "Download desktop app" is now in the account menu. On Home, you can view Performance over 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 1 year or all time, and filter Recent activity.

  • Read why an action failed

Error messages now explain why an action could not be completed, with messages such as "Unarchive the portfolio first." or "This trading account is already added." When you regenerate a strategy signature, the dialog stays open until the new signature is displayed, preventing you from copying the old one before the update finishes.

Fixed risk amounts and a max risk per trade

  • Set the risk of a rule as a drawdown limit or a risk per trade

Under "How to set the risk" in the rule form, choose "Risk factor", "Drawdown limit" or "Risk per trade", as money or as a % of balance. Hookmode computes the risk factor from the amount you type and keeps the amount when the strategy changes. A percent follows the current account balance. With "Risk per trade", each trade is sized from its own stop loss distance and the volume rounds down to the lot step, so a trade never risks more than the amount. A quantity in the signal is ignored for these rules. The "Risk and potential profit per trade" preview shows the resulting risk factor and drawdown limit. Existing rules keep their risk factor.

  • Limit what one trade may risk on a trading account

The account page has a new "Max risk per trade" section. Set the most one trade may lose at its stop loss, as money or as a % of balance, and choose what happens to a trade above it: "Reject the trade" or "Reduce the volume to fit". When you turn the limit on, "Reduce the volume to fit" is selected. The limit applies to every rule on the account. A reduced trade shows its old and new volume in the trace. A rejected trade is not sent, and the trace and Telegram give the reason. The manual trade dialog marks the accounts where a trade will be reduced or not sent. The limit is measured at the stop loss, so a price gap or slippage can still lose more.

  • Read about fixed risk and the max risk per trade in the guides

The prop-firm guardrails guide has a new section on the max risk per trade and two new questions. The features page, the getting-started guide and the webhooks page describe the new risk settings.

  • See the recovery factor inside the TradingView Strategy Tester

Version 1.2.0 of the Chrome extension places its panel inside the Strategy Tester, above Key stats, in the same style as the report. The "Current" tab shows the latest ratio and the session best, and the "History" tab lists saved results with their scripts. Settings open from the gear button, and the × button hides the panel until the page reloads. The floating panel is gone, and your settings carry over.

Hold time on broker closes

  • See how long a trade was open when the broker closed it

When the stop loss or take profit closes a trade at the broker, its trace row now shows the hold time, such as "Held 9h 26m", instead of a slow latency warning. After a failed close attempt, the row shows the time since that attempt, such as "After 2h 0m". Other rows keep their latency.

  • Record the right broker close time on every account

Desktop app 1.3.2 converts the close time that MetaTrader 5 reports in broker server time, so a close is no longer stored hours ahead on accounts in another time zone. A stop loss hit while your device was off now shows its real close time. Closes stored before this update keep their time.

  • Find the actions at the end of each row in the rules table

On wide screens the portfolio rules table now reads Rule, Drawdown, Factor, Account, Session guard, then Active and actions.

Floating P&L range, a new Home page and a Chrome extension

  • See how far a floating P&L can still move

Every floating P&L now shows its range on one line: the loss at the stop loss on the left, a bar with a marker at the current value, and the profit at the take profit on the right. It appears on Home, on the account page and in the Trades list. When no trade has a take profit, the right end reads "None". When only some trades have one, the amount starts with "≥", because the real end is higher. The range uses the stop loss and take profit set at open, so a level moved by hand in the terminal is not reflected.

  • Read the Home P&L figures in one panel

"Overall P&L" now shows "Open P&L", "Today", "This week" and "All time" side by side, across all portfolios. The clock button explains when today and this week start in your workspace time zone. "P&L by portfolio" is a table with the same four columns, a link to each portfolio and a "View all" button. On narrow screens each portfolio becomes a labelled block.

  • Collapse the sidebar to icons

On large screens, the "Collapse sidebar" button shrinks the navigation to a row of icons, and your browser remembers the choice. The navigation is grouped under "Workspace" and "Manage". It ends with a "Docs & guides" link and a download card for the Windows desktop app.

  • Read why a signal was rejected on the Signals chart

Hover a rejected signal on the Signals chart, on Home or on a strategy page, to see the symbol, the strategy and the full reason, such as "The strategy is paused. Resume it to accept alerts." The chart, its legend and its counts say "Rejected" instead of "Failed".

  • Tell the strategy, portfolio and account apart in the Trades list

Each name in the Source column now has its own icon. The account login and the device moved into an info button at the end of the account line, so rows are shorter. The "What do these icons mean?" button in the column header explains each icon.

  • Compare TradingView backtests with the Hookmode Chrome extension

The TradingView P&L/Drawdown Ratio extension reads Total P&L and max drawdown from the strategy report and shows their ratio, the recovery factor. It keeps a history of results with the Pine Script that was open in the editor, and it can keep a separate history for each symbol, data provider and timeframe. It needs no Hookmode account, and its data stays in Chrome. Read more and install it from hookmode.com/chrome-extension.

Webhooks are now strategies

  • Update your TradingView alerts to send strategy_id

The alert message field "webhook_id" is now "strategy_id". A signal that still sends "webhook_id" is refused, TradingView reports an error, and the signal does not appear in Signals. Copy the alert message again from the strategy's Connect button, or rename the field in each alert. The strategy ID and signature have not changed. The guides on hookmode.com use the new field.

  • Find your saved setups under Strategies

What the app called a webhook is now a strategy. The navigation reads "Strategies", the buttons read "Create strategy", and "Allow closing via webhook" is now "Allow closing by signal". "Webhook URL" keeps its name, because it is the address every strategy receives signals on. App pages moved to /strategies, and old /webhooks links no longer open, so update your bookmarks. Telegram messages and past in-app notifications use the new word. No data was removed.

  • See the account balance when a trade closes

The "trade closed" message in Telegram and in the app now ends with a Balance line, such as "Balance: 10,012.50 USD". It needs desktop app 1.3.1 or later. It reads "Balance: -" with an older desktop app or when the balance cannot be read. The account balance on the account page also refreshes after every close.

P&L by portfolio and a clearer calendar

  • Compare P&L across your portfolios on Home

The new "P&L by portfolio" card shows today, this week, open and all-time P&L for each portfolio, newest first, 10 at most. It appears when at least two portfolios have trades. Currencies are never added together. Trades of archived portfolios and of portfolios outside the list count only in "Overall P&L", so the rows can add up to less.

  • Spot weekends and days of other months in the calendar

Saturday and Sunday have a grey background, and days from the previous or next month have diagonal lines. The selected day has a blue glow inside its edge, and the hover highlight is visible in dark mode.

  • See a renamed or deleted portfolio change everywhere at once

A new portfolio name now appears right away in lists, rule tables, account groups, the Trades list, Home and traces. The rename dialog closes as soon as the name is saved. Deleting a portfolio also refreshes Home, the attention list, the Trades list and notifications.

A new website and redesigned apps

  • Explore the new hookmode.com

The site has been rebuilt, with new Features, AI strategies, TradingView and Webhooks pages. The AI strategies page goes from an AI trading idea to a first trade on a demo account, with prompts you can copy. The getting-started guide has new screenshots in light and dark themes. Every page ends with the same "Join beta" form. Old links to /docs/tradingview and /waitlist open the new pages.

  • Use the redesigned web and desktop apps

Both apps have a new look: a blue accent, the system font and rounder corners. The theme menu offers "System", "Light" and "Dark", and a new install follows your system theme. The desktop app has a new icon.

  • Read money, dates and multipliers in one format

Amounts read "1,234.56 USD", with a plus or minus sign when the value is a gain or a loss. Dates put the day first and use a 24-hour clock, such as "19 Aug 2026, 14:05", and time columns name the time zone, such as "Opened (EEST)". Multipliers read "1.25×". Telegram messages use the same money and date formats.

  • Read drawdown levels as shares of the budget

Drawdown labels now change at 50%, 75% and 90% of the budget: "Within budget", "Half of budget used", "Most of budget used" and "Near limit". The labels are for display only. The hard stop is unchanged.

  • Check what a manual trigger or close will touch before you confirm

The dialogs list the eligible rules or open trades for each account, such as "3 eligible rules across 2 accounts".

  • See when account data was last updated

The account header shows "Up to date", or "Data stale" when the last update is more than 15 minutes old. Hover it to see the exact time.

  • Use the app more easily on phones and with a keyboard

Contrast, focus rings and labels are clearer, click targets are larger, and no text is smaller than 12px. On phones, rule table rows no longer overlap their actions, and the calendar list shows only weeks with trades.

  • Read chart ranges that match the data

Min and Max on the profit charts no longer show a zero the curve never reached. The strategy profit chart draws one curve per currency, and the account profit curve follows the date range of the page.

  • Read a clear reason when a position is already open

A trade that could not open because the rule does not open a second position on a symbol now says so in plain language. Older records use the new wording too.

Symbol picker and workspace time zone

  • Pick a rule's symbol from your broker's list

The Symbol field in the rule form is now a searchable list of every symbol the account's MetaTrader 5 terminal offers, read from your device. It fills in the closest match to the strategy's symbol, such as XAUUSDm for XAUUSD, and stays empty when there is no clear match. It needs desktop app 1.2.2 or later, and the device must be online. Existing rules keep their symbol.

  • Set one time zone for your whole workspace

Choose the "Workspace time zone" in Settings. Today, this week, the calendar, date filters and every time in the web app follow it, on every browser you sign in from. Before, they followed the browser. The weekly Telegram summary now arrives Monday at 08:00 in this time zone and covers Monday to Monday. The daily loss limit still resets at midnight on the broker's clock.

No TradingView errors for paused strategies

  • Pause or archive a strategy without errors in TradingView

A signal sent to a paused or archived strategy now gets a success answer, so TradingView no longer reports an error for it. The signal is still ignored, and Signals shows why, such as "The strategy is paused. Resume it to accept alerts." A signal with a wrong signature is still refused.

Session guard and one tap trade actions

  • Use Session guard to block new trades and close open ones before a market break

Turn on overnight and weekend protection separately for each rule. Choose the minimum length of an overnight break, when to stop new trades, and when to start closing open trades. The weekly schedule uses your symbol's trading hours in broker server time. Your device must be online with an up-to-date Hookmode desktop app to read the hours and save the guard. Guarded rules show a Session guard badge. Pausing, archiving or deleting one with open trades asks for confirmation because the guard will no longer close them. The guard uses the broker's reported schedule; it does not anticipate holidays or early closes. Closing trades still depends on your device and broker.

  • Read trading hours from MetaTrader 5 through the SessionBridge program

The desktop app installs the Hookmode SessionBridge expert advisor automatically. Terminals it starts open an H1 chart with the program attached, including when you open a terminal from the desktop app. The chart starts with EURUSD. If that symbol is unavailable, Hookmode can restart the terminal once with a symbol from Market Watch.

  • Get a Telegram alert when the session guard skips a signal or closes trades

"Session guard skipped a signal" identifies the portfolio, account, strategy and rule, with the break's start and end in server time. "Session guard closing trades" shows how many trades were sent for closing, how long before the break, and when it starts. Both alerts are on by default and can be turned off in Settings.

  • See in Activity why a rule skipped a signal

Activity now shows signals skipped because of a drawdown limit or session break, with the strategy, symbol, account and reason. Session guard close attempts appear under the Trades filter.

  • Reset daily loss limits at midnight on the broker's clock

The day resets at 00:00 server time, so there is no reset timezone to choose. The account page shows the reset time and UTC offset, such as UTC+3. Until the desktop app reports the broker's clock, the reset uses midnight UTC. Existing daily loss blocks were cleared once when this change was applied. The daily loss guides on hookmode.com now explain this reset.

  • Trigger and close trades in one tap, without a confirmation

Turn on "One tap trade actions" under Trade actions in Settings to skip confirmation for Trigger and Close in a strategy's actions menu and Trigger buttons on its details page. These controls show a bolt icon while the mode is on. The setting is off by default and applies across browsers in your workspace.

  • Compare balance and equity curves on the Accounts page

Account rows now show balance and equity curves, with one date range control for the whole page. A message explains when a range has too little history. These curves have moved from Home to Accounts.

  • Read a simpler Home page built around the strategy leaderboard

The rule leaderboard has been removed. The strategy leaderboard now shows which portfolios use each strategy. Select the portfolio count to see its rules, or see when no portfolio uses the strategy.

  • Know what to do when a strategy sends fewer trades than expected

The warning links to the strategy and suggests checking that the TradingView alert still fires or updating the expected trade count. Strategy, device and account names in the attention list now appear in quotes.

  • Read why a trade failed in plain language

Updated desktop apps report failure reasons in plain language across Activity, trace pages and Telegram. Terminal errors now identify the underlying problem when available, such as a rejected password. Older failure records keep their original wording.

  • Open an offline device's sessions straight from Home

The warning now links to the device's sessions page. Devices with the same name appear separately.

  • Keep every list and count up to date after a change

Deleting a strategy or portfolio now refreshes affected lists and counts across portfolios, accounts, trades, signals and Home. Creating, deleting or changing the strategy a rule uses also refreshes the strategy's portfolios panel.

Clearer trade volume calculations and simpler forms

  • Follow the trade volume calculation step by step

The rule form labels the broker's contract size, lot step and minimum volume. Select "View example" to follow the calculation for each allowed side: quantity, risk factor, lot size and rounding to the broker's lot step. The same facts and example are available from the rule details on an account page.

  • Read the same Buy and Sell wording on every screen

Strategy switches now read "Allow buy trades" and "Allow sell trades". Position summaries, rule previews, calculation examples and the getting-started guide use the same terms.

  • Restart every MetaTrader 5 terminal with one action

Select "Restart all terminals" in the desktop app's MT5 bridge settings menu. The confirmation shows how many terminals will restart. Open positions stay with the broker, but syncing and trading stop until the terminals return. The action is unavailable when no account is running.

  • Open an info button beside a field to learn what its value does

Info buttons beside Drawdown limit, Quantity and Lot size explain how each value works. They cover drawdown from a rule's closed-trade peak, the effect of its hard stop, asset units, the risk factor and units per lot.

  • Read clearer form labels, section names and error messages

Stop loss and take profit fields now say they accept distances. Strategy sections are named "Drawdown" and "Backtest expectations", and the rule switch reads "Stop opening trades at the drawdown limit". Create buttons name the portfolio, rule or strategy. The risk statistic is labelled "Risk/reward", validation messages state what to enter, and setup errors identify the Hookmode desktop app or MetaTrader 5 terminal involved.

  • Read the backtest statistic under the name Recovery factor

It shows expected profit divided by the drawdown limit. The calculation and colour bands are unchanged.

  • See the next step in a portfolio that has no rules yet

An empty portfolio shows its Create rule button. Performance figures and the Projected vs actual P&L chart appear after you add a rule.

  • Open every page at the top and keep your place going back

Navigating to another page now resets the scroll position. Browser back and forward restore your previous position, while filters, sorting, pagination and calendar month changes keep you in place.

  • See the same account name in the web app, desktop app and Telegram

Telegram trade messages, alerts and weekly summaries now show accounts as "Name · 12345", matching the web and desktop apps.

Quantity in asset units and automatic broker lot sizes

  • Set how much to trade in asset units instead of volume

Strategy sides now use "Quantity (units)" instead of "Volume", and no longer ask for a price movement cost per unit. For example, 25 on XAUUSD means 25 ounces, and 100000 on EURUSD means one standard lot. Alert bodies now use quantity. Turn on "Allow quantity override" to send the quantity from TradingView with {{strategy.order.contracts}}. Existing strategies keep their previous trade quantity.

  • Read lot size, lot step and minimum volume directly from your broker

Choose a trading account and enter its broker's symbol to read the lot size, lot step and minimum volume automatically. For example: 1 lot = 100,000 units, lot step 0.01, minimum volume 0.01 lots. Your device needs an up-to-date Hookmode desktop app, and the values must be available before the rule can be saved. If the read fails, the form shows the reason and a Try again button. Hookmode multiplies quantity by the risk factor, divides by the lot size and rounds to the broker's lot step. Rule previews highlight volumes below the broker's minimum, and those trades are not sent.

  • Scale a rule with the Risk factor, the former Volume factor

The value and behaviour are unchanged. It scales the strategy's quantity, drawdown limit and expected profit for the rule. A value of 1 keeps the tested settings; 0.5 halves the quantity, drawdown budget and expected profit. The new name appears in rule forms, account rule tables, strategy portfolio details and on the website.

  • See small trade volumes with the precision they need

Volumes now keep the precision they need across trade tables, open positions, Activity, trace pages, rule previews and Telegram. For example, 0.005 lots no longer displays as 0.01 lots.

  • Read shorter, clearer Telegram messages across every alert

Trade alerts lead with the action and trade details, such as "🟢 Opened a trade: XAUUSD Buy, 0.10 lots". Daily loss alerts identify the account, such as "🛑 Trading account 'FTMO 100k' reached its daily loss limit". Signal messages name the strategy, action and side. Price lines use "Open price" and "Close price", and failure reasons use full sentences. The /start, /help and /subscriptions replies and weekly summaries have also been rewritten. The /subscriptions button now reads "Disconnect".

Clear limits on long activity histories

  • Know when a long trace stops at the first 500 events

Signal and trade trace pages now show the first 500 events. When a trace has more, a notice explains that later events are not shown. The same limit and notice apply to signal outcomes in the Signals list.

  • See at most 20 items of each kind in the Home attention list

The Needs attention list on Home now shows up to 20 items of each kind.

Simpler rule setup and clearer risk figures

  • Create a rule without broker settings Hookmode can work out

Rules no longer ask for price digits or max slippage. MetaTrader 5 converts stop loss and take profit distances using the broker's symbol data, and Hookmode sets the slippage tolerance automatically.

  • Fill the price movement cost from your broker, since replaced by lot size reads

This release added "Fetch from broker" beside the price movement cost field. It filled the value from the symbol's lot size and explained failed reads, including an offline or busy device, an unknown symbol or a timeout. On 2026-09-07, automatic lot size reads replaced this field and action.

  • Read used, booked and remaining drawdown around the bar

Account and portfolio pages show the used and booked amounts above the drawdown bar, with the remaining amount below. Portfolios with multiple currencies show a separate bar for each currency.

  • See how much of an account balance your rules put at risk

The account page combines the active rules' drawdown limit and its share of the account balance in one tile, with a percentage, bar and amounts such as $500.00 / $10,000.00. If the balance has not synced, the tile shows a hyphen and explains why.

  • Check for a desktop app update whenever you want one

The settings menu shows progress while checking and downloading. When an update is ready, it shows the version and an "Update now" action that restarts the app to install it.

  • Find the desktop app version in the header

The current version appears beside the Hookmode title in the header.

  • Spot a rule volume that rounds to zero before you save it

The rule preview highlights 0.00 lots and identifies the affected buy or sell side before you save. The warning does not prevent saving the rule.

  • Watch a simpler one-line Telegram preview on hookmode.com

Each alert appears on one line with its time and message, such as "Opened EURUSD buy trade for 0.50 lots". The preview plays once when it comes into view, and you can replay it.

  • Join the waitlist with only your email

The form no longer asks what you trade with or which account type you use.

  • Retry an order once after a requote or a price change

An order rejected because of a requote, changed price or unavailable price is now retried once with a fresh price, in addition to the existing retry for rejected stops.

  • Keep archived strategies and accounts out of new rules

Archived strategies and accounts no longer appear as new choices. Existing rules still show any archived item they already use by name.

  • Read a clear message when no position is open

Home now shows "No open positions." when nothing is open.

  • See small risk factors to four decimal places

Rule tables on portfolio, account and strategy pages now show up to four decimal places. A factor of 0.004 no longer appears as 0x.

  • Read the same punctuation across the web app, desktop app and website

The web app, desktop app and website now use plain hyphens for asides, missing values and ranges such as "Showing 1-10 of 50". Telegram punctuation is unchanged.

Signal outcomes, order volumes, and a complete calendar

  • See what each accepted signal actually did

The Signals table now shows the successful and failed outcomes of each accepted signal. Expand a signal to see the trades it opened or closed and any actions that failed.

  • Stop a rejected signal from showing an accepted-looking duplicate

Rejected signals no longer have an accepted-looking duplicate. Trace entries now keep received, dispatched, and device-result events in order.

  • Read whole weeks in the calendar, with a total for each

The calendar now includes the neighbouring-month days that complete each week and shows weekly totals, making month boundaries easier to read.

  • Enter stop loss and take profit distances to 10 decimal places

Take profit and stop loss distances now accept up to 10 decimal places, so you can enter smaller price movements.

  • See the order volume a rule will send before you save it

Rule previews now show the calculated order volume alongside risk and profit. You can set a rule-specific price movement cost to adjust the order volume for brokers with different contract sizes.

  • Round orders to the broker's lot step and record what it confirmed

Orders now round to the nearest supported lot step. When the broker confirms a different volume, the trade record now uses it and recalculates risk.

  • Follow the path from signal to account in an illustration on Home

The home page now explains the signal-to-account flow with a routing illustration instead of a terminal log.

Account groups, scoped Telegram summaries, and the Raw setup format

  • Group your trading accounts by portfolio

The accounts page now groups accounts by portfolio, with separate Shared and Ungrouped sections. Each group shows its balance and all-time P&L, and an account can show the rules that use it.

  • Jump to any month in the calendar

The calendar now has a month picker, and its controls stay in place when the Today button appears.

  • Scope a weekly Telegram summary to a subscriber's portfolios

Weekly Telegram summaries now use each subscriber's selected portfolios and include balance and equity by portfolio and account.

  • Build your own webhook payload with the Raw format

Strategy setup now has a Raw format: copy the strategy ID and signature separately when you want to build your own payload.

Portfolio performance, profit calendar, and optional take profit

  • Trade one side of a strategy without a take profit

You can turn off take profit for either side of a strategy. Trades then open with a stop loss but no take profit. They close through a closing signal or when the stop loss is hit. A stop loss remains required.

  • Review your daily profit in a monthly calendar

New calendar page: a monthly grid shows each day's profit, trade count, and winning trades in your time zone. Click a day to see its trades, and filter the calendar by account, portfolio, or rule.

  • Read how a portfolio performs in one grid of figures

The portfolio page now includes a performance grid with balance, all-time P&L, today's P&L, this week's P&L, drawdown, trades, and rules.

  • Limit a Telegram chat to the portfolios you choose

You can now limit each Telegram subscriber to selected portfolios, so each chat receives notifications only for the portfolios you choose. With no selection, it receives notifications for all portfolios.

  • See why a rule is archived, and hide archived rules by default

Rules now explain why they are archived, whether the rule itself or its account, strategy, or portfolio is archived. They are hidden by default behind a "Show archived" toggle.

  • Use shorter app URLs, with the old links still working

App pages now use shorter URLs (for example, /devices instead of /app/devices). Existing /app/... links redirect.

Clearer signal logs

  • Read a rejected signal's full reason without it being cut off

A rejected signal's reason now appears in a full-width row directly below it, so the text can wrap.

  • Tell manually triggered signals apart at a glance

Manually triggered signals now have a dedicated column with a hand icon.

  • Tap a dropdown on a phone without the page zooming in

Dropdown text is larger on phones, so tapping it no longer zooms the page.

All-time drawdown

  • Measure the drawdown limit over a rule's entire history

The drawdown limit now measures a rule's entire history, so past losses no longer fall outside the measurement period. A manual drawdown reset still starts that measurement over.

Clearer forms and community links

  • Fill the strategy form in two clearly described sections

The strategy form is now split into "Risk & execution" and "Expectations" sections, with plain-language descriptions for every field, including units where relevant.

  • Reach the Hookmode community from the site

Links to X and Reddit are in the site footer.

  • Tell open and close signals apart by their icons

Open and close signals now have distinct icons, so exits are easier to spot.

  • Keep archived accounts out of the homepage equity curves

Archived accounts no longer appear in the homepage equity curves.

  • See the right desktop power toggle state on non-English Windows

Desktop power toggles now show the correct state on non-English Windows.

Archiving, filters, and getting started

  • Retire an account, strategy, portfolio or rule without losing its history

Archive a trading account, strategy, portfolio, or rule to stop it from trading and hide it from default lists while retaining its history in statistics. Unarchiving restores it in a paused state.

  • Narrow the accounts page down to the accounts you need

The accounts page now has filters for device, account type, state, setup status, and name.

  • Follow a five-step getting-started guide with real screenshots

A five-step getting-started guide with real screenshots is now available at hookmode.com/docs/getting-started.

  • Change a rule's volume factor without moving its drawdown limit

Changing a rule's volume factor no longer changes its drawdown percentage or when its hard stop is reached.

App redesign

  • Use the redesigned web dashboard and desktop app

New look across the web dashboard and the desktop app.

  • Receive the weekly Telegram summary on Monday morning

The weekly Telegram summary never went out; it now arrives on Monday morning.

Easier start, more visibility

  • Follow a guided setup on the home page

The home page now walks new users through setup: pair a device, add an account, create a strategy.

  • Review a device's connection latency history

Every device shows its connection latency history.

  • Open the API documentation from the strategy page

API documentation is linked straight from the strategy page.

Daily loss limits

  • Stop an account from trading for the day after a set loss

A daily loss limit per account: today's closed losses plus the stop-loss risk of open trades. When it is reached, no new trade opens on that account until the day resets.

  • Choose the timezone the trading day resets in

Day reset at midnight in the timezone you pick: UTC, CE(S)T or broker time.

  • See a blocked signal in the trace and in Telegram

A blocked signal shows in the trace and sends a Telegram alert.
