Your first trade starts here

What you need

• A Windows 10 or 11 PC that stays on.
• MetaTrader 5 installed on that PC, logged in to your broker at least once.
• A demo trading account for your first test.
• TradingView with webhook alerts enabled, or another system that can send an HTTP request with a JSON body.
• An email address for your Hookmode account.

The five steps

1. 01Create your accountCreate your account and sign in to the web app.
2. 02Install and pair the desktop appDownload the Windows app and pair it with a 6-digit code.
3. 03Add your MetaTrader 5 accountName, server and login on the web; the password stays on your PC.
4. 04Connect your signal sourceFollow the TradingView guide, or use the custom webhook guide below.
5. 05Follow your first test tradeCheck your limits, send a test signal on demo and inspect the result.

Choose where your signals come from

The device and account setup is the same for every source. For step 4, follow the guide that matches your setup.

• TradingView alertsConnect a TradingView order-fill alert or a regular alert to your Hookmode strategy.
• Custom webhooksSend opening and closing instructions from your own script or service.

What happens to your password

You type the broker password on your own PC, and it stays there. Windows encrypts it. Our servers keep the account nickname, the broker server and the login. Never the password.

How the desktop app fits in

The Hookmode desktop app runs the MetaTrader 5 terminal on your Windows device. You do not attach an Expert Advisor to a chart. Keep the device awake and connected while you want it to receive trading instructions.
